Flower Party with My Girls in Ibiza

Nightlife of Ibiza Spain

First, I was not sure if Ibiza was for me, as I was never a big fan of electronic music, however Ibiza turned out to be an absolute Paradise. It is the island of Love, Freedom and Music. I took a flight in the late afternoon and the plane felt like I was on a party bus, because all the English boys around me were drinking on the plane. They were loud and crazy. They were going to San Antonio. I felt like I was back in high school and we were going on a school trip. When I got off the plane, I saw many young people wearing leather and all sorts of punky outfits. Although, it was late, we hit Pacha for the Flower Power Party. Ibiza Spain

Pacha was completely decorated in Flower Power style. Abbey Road and the Beatles were painted outside of Pacha.

Everyone was wearing flowers in his or her hair. I found a guy who even had flowers in his beard.

The party was great with great music from the seventies. I loved my first party in Ibiza.

The next morning we spent the day laying on Nassau Beach Club, then went to visit my friend Nouriel the famous economist from New York who was staying in a bucolic Spanish villa with some other guys from New York. The villa was amazing, with a really beautiful pool.

From there we headed out Punta del Falco to see the sunset from Experimental Beach.

The view was stunning. We were on top of the mountain with water all around us.

At night we went for a walk in the old town. The city was very lively with lots of young people. There were street vendors everywhere. We hit some really nice bars, had some ice-cream, walked up to the castle to see the beautiful view of the lit up town beneath us.

The next day the party was at Salinas Beach and spent the day at the famous restaurant called Sa Trinxa.

The party was amazing. The water was beautiful clear and blue. The girls and I had lunch right on the beach. Everyone was beautiful on the beach. Many people were wearing tattoos and many people were topless. It was a real hippy beach. The music was amazing on the beach. The DJ was mixing electronic music. A saxophone player and a violinist created an amazing atmosphere on the beach.

The party was incredible. Everyone on the beach were dancing in a crowd to the music of these incredibly talented musicians.

At night we went to Atzaro Agroturismo Hotel for dinner with some friends from London.

This hotel is one of the most amazing places I had ever seen in my life. The hotel is designed in Balinese style with long pools and lots of plants and statues and paintings everywhere. They had some really cool modern art for sale in the restaurant. The place looked like a big botanical garden. After a great dinner at this beautiful venue, we went to Pacha for David Guetta. He had his famous F*** Me I am Famous Show, which I had seen before in Cannes. The show was fantastic, the décor and the dancers at Pacha created an amazing atmosphere. David Guetta was jumping up and down on the DJ counter. I got home after 6am in the morning. Ibiza was so incredible!

Next day we went to Amir’s famous BBQ party, where I suddenly ran into everyone I know from New York, St-Tropez, Cannes, Miami, LA. Everyone had to wear some props for the party. I chose  Minnie Mouse ears. The party went on until late afternoon. From there we went to Destino Hotel where they had another Flower Power Party in the garden of the hotel.

The party was superb! Everyone was dressed up as a hippy, people were wearing big sunglasses and flowers in their hair. At night there were fireworks, as it was a Spanish National Holiday on August 8th. Later on we went to Cipriani where they had an 80ies Disco. We also went to Cavalli Restaurant for a drink.

The next day we started the morning at Cappuccino on the port for breakfast.

The place was right on the water and we had a spectacular view of the boats. It was a very beautiful place to relax in the morning.

On a Yacht to Formentera

Later we cruised to Formentera with some friends. The boat ride was so beautiful. The water was incredibly blue in Formentera. After swimming in the water, we had lunch at Juan & Andrea on the beach. We ordered much Sangria and Paella.

They made the biggest Paella for us I had ever seen. After we ate and drank enough, we became friends with a group of Mexicans at the table next to us and the whole lunch turned into a big party. They were pouring the tequila into our mouths. Our Italian friends were great fun and they quickly connected with the Mexicans. When we got back on the boat, a Mojito man swam to our boat.

This guy swam around all day from one boat to the next and prepared mojitos for people on their boats. He was swimming with a big waterproof bag with all the ingredients of a mojito inside. I thought it was a pretty crazy business. We took the boat back at night to Ibiza City and and watched the beautiful sunset from the boat. It was an amazing day spent in Formentera.

At night we were back at Pacha to see Bob Sinclar and his Paris by Night Show with many sexy semi-dressed male and female dancers.

Even Paris Hilton showed up around 5 o’clock at the VIP area at the table next to ours. She was dancing on the table like she always does. She looked beautiful.

The next morning, after checking out of the hotel, I spent the day at the pool of the Gran Hotel Ibiza, then went to see a friend in his beautiful villa for lunch. The villa was spectacular. We hang out by the pool until late in the afternoon, when I sadly had to leave Ibiza to return to London.

  • Wow, a Paris Hilton sighting too! From Balinese style hotels to Bob Sinclair, what IS NOT going on in Ibiza? The music may be too much to me; I’m an old crow lol, but it’d be worth 2 trip to see it, to experience it, and to be around some amazingly positive, crazy energy, and some serious opulence too. I am a fan of unique places and Ibiza seems to be the Real Mccoy as far as authentic goes. Really neat recount and pictures Barb!
