La Aldea de la Selva – Cabanas in the Jungle
La Aldea de la Selva is one of the most interesting luxury hotels I have ever visited. There are 31 individual luxurious wooden cabanas in the middle of the Parana rainforest a few kilometers away from the center of Puerto Iguazu. Everything in the hotel is made out of wood. The hotel lobby is entirely furnished with stylish wooden furniture crafted by local artists. A large wooden chandelier resembling a bird’s nest is hanging from the ceiling. As you walk out of the lobby to find your room, you find yourself in the middle of the rainforest. You can hear the birds, the animals of the trees of the jungle. On the way to my room, I discovered a large wooden room with a large sofa, big flat screen TV inside as well as a couple of computers. This room serves as a common room, where people can watch TV, use computers and socialize in the evenings. This is one of the most authentic hotels near Iguazu Falls.

The cabanas are made out of wood, the furnishing of the room is also made mostly out of wood. The decoration is colorful and modern. Each cabana has a balcony with a hammock. Suites even have a jacuzzi on the balcony. The balconies overlook the jungle. One can enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings while staying in the Aldea Lodge.

A few minutes walk away from the lobby, you can find an enormous swimming pool hid away in the jungle. The swimming pool is very beautiful. It is a great place to wine down on a hot day in the rainforest.

Breakfast is served in the El Nido Restaurant in the lobby. The large windows of the restaurant makes you feel like you are sitting right in the middle of the jungle. Breakfast offers a wide variety of choices of sweet and savory food. Lunch and dinner are served from the a la carte menus that offer regional and international options.
Aldea Lodge is the perfect place to organize events, such as weddings, conferences as it can accommodate large amount of people in its common area. The hotel provides the ideal setting of a beautiful rainforest to its guests, where they can fully immerse into the surrounding nature.
The hotel is recommended to anyone who loves nature and wants to see what it feels like to stay in the middle of the rainforest by the Iguazu Falls. The cabanas provide all the luxury of a hotel in a natural green setting. It is a truly unique experience, that I can only recommend to anyone who is looking for an authentic jungle treat.

Hotel Saint-George is a four star resort in the heart of Puerto Iguazu. It is in the best location as it is located right in front of the bus terminal within walking distance from everything in Puerto Iguazu. The hotel is a large resort that offers a wide variety of services to its guests. The beautiful tropical garden of the hotel has a large swimming pool, a kid’s pool, a jacuzzi as well as a place to get a massage. The garden has lots of palm trees and beautiful vegetation. It makes you feel like you are in the middle of the rain forest.

The room is very spacious and modern. One of the walls is painted red and some of the furnishings is red as well. The room has a balcony overlooking the city. The bathroom is the biggest bathroom I have ever seen in any hotels. It has a large jacuzzi, a shower, two sinks and a toilet.

The staff is very kind, they greeted me very warmly upon arrival. Then a gentleman accompanied me to the room and explained to me how all the different electronics worked. Later, I complained that I was unable to turn the TV on, they quickly sent a technician up to repair the TV and made sure it was working.
Three meals a day are served to all guests in the nearby Dona Maria Restaurant. All the meals are buffet style and they offer a wide variety of options. For breakfast, you can choose from pretty much anything you can imagine, there are a wide selection of juices, fruits, cakes, of course dulce de leche, because everything has to be served with this local caramel paste in Argentina. You can also find savory options like scrambled eggs with sausage, toasts, ham and cheese.

For dinner, you have the option to choose from about 10-15 different salads, 10 different cakes and you have a wide selection of parrilla (local grilled meat) to choose from. You can have anything you can think of, sausages, steaks, chicken, fish.

Hotel Saint-George is an excellent place to stay for families, who are looking for an elegant full service hotel, offering all sorts of facilities for adults and kids. It is also recommended to people who want to stay in a convenient location where they can easily access anything in the city center.
